A glut of courgettes and what to do with them

Three courgette plants. Everyone told me two would be plenty, and everyone was right. In the second half of July I've been picking four or five a day, and if I miss one under a leaf for a day and a half it is a marrow.
Things that worked, roughly in order of how fast they used them up:
- Grated and frozen in 300 g bags, squeezed dry first. They go straight into soups and bolognese through the winter.
- Courgette and feta fritters. Two large courgettes per batch, and nobody complains.
- Giving them away. The bench by the gate now has a crate with a hand-written sign. It is empty every evening.
- Chutney, with the marrows. Six jars. Ask me in December whether this was a good idea.
Next year it's two plants, a yellow one and a green one, and I'll pick them small. The runner beans are starting now, so I imagine I'll be writing the same post about those in three weeks.
